Outsourcing

Have a project to outsource or need help with a project it'd take you 50 hours to complete and someone else maybe only 2?

I learned about scriptlance today. While there are several, I got more referrals from top internet marketers to this site than any of the others which I'll list below as well for reference:

www.guru.com
www.rentacoder.com
www.elance.com

Post your project and review the bids. There are categories for any kind of work you can imagine including, marketing, programming, writing, etc.

If you have a favorite, email me and we'll add to the resource list.

Long URLs?

Interested in cloacking, shortening and branding your links all in one? I have a tool you need to try today!

It's called linkbrander and marketed by Russell Brunson of DotComSecrets. I'm an apprentice in his dotcomsecrets program and I must say the desktop mentor with a training, homework and tools daily for 27 days is a great idea. I cannot believe no one else has done it to date.

LinkBrander will take your long URL's and make them shorter period. It's also a great affiliate program to offer (and free via the desktop mentor program I am in). You earn credits that will show your own ads by telling others about LinkBrander.

There are so many tools to shorten links but try this one out..simple and easy to use. What other tools are you using out there? Share them with me and we'll review them. Have a great day.

Squeeze Pages

Chances are if you are an affiliate marketer you don't have a squeeze page. Why does it matter? As an affiliate you are marketing someone else's product or service and paid for those sales you make. But (and it's a big but) you don't capture the lead's contact information to build your own list so you can market to them again later on.

I'm not knocking affiliate marketing at all..but the power of a squeeze page is that it allows you to capture the opt in info from the lead - the redirect them to the product page. So you get their contact info and hopefully the sale as well!

A sale without follow up info is a one timer...build your list so you are always expanding the audience you can later market to!

Blogging for a living?

Several years ago I wrote an article "Blogging for Candidates" that was my most read article. Blogging is hotter than ever but you might be wondering how you could make money from a blog.

The 3 top ways to earn dollars on your blog are:

1. Write good copy that is meaningful and provides solutions and information to others. People will visit and grow traffic to your site. Be sure to accept comments on your blog to faciliate conversation, tips and tricks for your readers!

2. Exchange links with partners or blogs you like.

3. Adsense. By writing good copy you'll attract a ton of traffic and don't need to worry that your 'competitors' might get a leg up on you. You can always ban url's or keywords in your Adsense account anyway. Bonus tip 1: place ads on your blog inbetween your posts rather than on the right hand side!

Bonus tip 2: Select the large rectangle format. You'll get 4 ads instead of 1!

Check this program out as well...I don't own it but if you do please share your experience here!

The Affiliate Conspiracy

I purchased Erik Rockefeller's - The Affiliate Conspiracy (TAC) online yesterday. Pretty easy download but 3 different html files and the jpg image files sent (rather than 3 templates for use) appear to be corrupted. I've emailed him and hope to have templates for use soon.

Note: I learned today since I have a clickbank account that I could have purchased this for $47.00 instead of the $77.00 I paid..ouch! A lesson for you out there and why we do product reviews here!

Some good review on Adwords (which I'm not yet inclined to do), but mainly good info on affiliate marketing. I was able to go into clickbank easily and create my own hoplink to market it as well.

Was marketed to me by Joel Comm who is an authority on AdSense. Anyone else out there get the promo from others? If so who?

More on implementation and overall thoughts later this week for this tool and more....

Reverse Funnel System - It's a system

What is Reverse Funnel or RFS? RFS is a really good example of a funded proposal that is a marketing, sales and shopping cart system actually. It allows you to market a product or products - bottom line, track progress (advertising, sales, clickthroughs, costs and more). The products RFS represents are also likely sold by other systems and groups as well (more on that in other posts) but it's a great, step by step way to do a few things off the bat:

1. provides marketers a complete system to sell products (e.g. website (capture page)
2. email auto-responders to follow up and through right through product sale
3. great back office functionality (allows you to track statistics, sales, and way more).

So what is the funded proposal piece? There is a $50.00 application before you are permitted to buy the system. This is really attractive since the application itself allows the buyer to do some self examination before purchase. Those who aren't ready or interested can pull out - no buyer's remorse. Those who wish to push on can, and quickly!

You may or may not have seen a ton of these ads online (depends on where you spend your time online frankly). Market is not yet saturated as the primary product the RFS is promoting is one w/lots of room for a long time to come. The biggest benefit of RFS in my opinion is simply that it's a system, a great one full of tools. This system will allow you to market multiple products and services. As someone who has used databases for years in my corporate gig - I think RFS is a really great and efficient tool. It's easy to use with drop down menus but sophisticated on the backend and you won't outgrow it anytime soon. In the spirit of full disclosure, I'm in, here's mine!

Funded Proposals

I've recently stumbled onto a concept called Funded Proposal. You might have seen references and wonder - what is it really? Funded proposals are simply the sale (or gift) of a low end product as an introduction into a larger system and/or higher end products. Not a new concept, but the term defined as, funded proposal, is. All you ask from your visitor is opt-in information to get started - usually just name and email so you can begin to fill your funnel with leads to later market to.

You might see the front end positioned as a free 5 day e-course, or an ebook under 20.00. Mike Dillard's (MLM marketing giant) example is here.

It's interesting in both MLM marketing and online marketing that folks realize you have to build your audience and market to that audience over time, just as you do in the corporate world. Working online of course is still a fast pace - but it seems now everyone understands you need to court your prospects.

If you have an example of a funded proposal please comment and send me the link. If it's an affiliate program you represent, that's fine...we can review it here on the blog.
